Interpreting Fall 2009

Last week, we loaded the car late Wednesday night and headed to Lake Donagal, an hour's drive from the city of Pittsburgh. We spent a little more than 24 hours retreating as a family. It was a pretty great time. We got to pray and worship together, hike together, eat together, interpret our own versions of an amazing tree that was bursting in color from the view outside our front window.

Jay,

I just saw this, although it's six months after your entry. Donegal Lake is probably no more than 20 minutes from R. C. Sproul's old Ligonier Valley Study Center, his old American L'Abri-type ministry that ran from 1971 to 1985. The former study center is now Foggy Mountain Lodge and Restaurant, located a few miles west of Stahlstown off of Rt. 711; I finally visited the grounds in June 2009 after several years wherein I searched for it but never could find it without knowing about the lodge that now occupies the property.

Peace of Christ,
Chip
